In this case, art film appeals to the intellect and emotions. Its style seems to be a collage of recurring themes with variations. A static camera, one color walls, a male actor who moves inside the frame, and successive outbursts of speech, imaginary dialog, and moods integrate the feature film. Something emerges from the whole: a subterranean eagerness for interpretation in both meanings. The set pieces are representations as well as explanations. There is a burning desire to share something. The movie does it.
The question is: how much does the author know and experience that we ignore? What lies beneath his audiovisual productions? Is he just a repressed individual, a bored man, or someone worth paying attention to? There isn't a general answer. This kind of art is not for mass consumption.
